Traditional Chinese Acupuncture is the process of inserting and manipulating needles of varying gauges and lengths into the skin and its use dates back to over 4000 years ago. The goal of acupuncture is to balance the body’s vital force, or what is called “Qi” in Chinese Medicine and this is based on the paradigm that the body has an energetic body, comprised of energetic meridians or channels. In modern medicine, acupuncture has been studied extensively and has shown positive effects on the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous system.

Dr. Victoria Chiappetta, ND is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor and she graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She has extensive training in botanical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, homeopathic medicine, nutrition and lifestyle counselling. Dr. Chiappetta is also a graduate from the University of Ottawa where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialization in Psychology.

Dr. Chiappetta is particularly interested in mental health care and support. During her time seeing patients at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, she was a member of the Mental Health Focus Shift, which offered naturopathic care for a wide variety of mental health concerns. She is dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments, while leading from a place of compassion and empathy.

Dr. Chiappetta is also a birth doula, with experience attending live births. She has a special interest in maternal pre and postnatal care, as well as pediatrics. She has years of experience working with children with developmental delays at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

Dr. Chiappetta is committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment that enables patients to feel empowered to take control of their own health and wellbeing. She will offer individualized care and treatment plans with the aim of restoring good health to mind, body and spirit alike. She will meet you wherever you are at along your health journey and support you in achieving your personal health goals.

Dr. Julie S.M. Chan ND, R.Ac. is a Board Certified Naturopathic Doctor, Registered Acupuncturist, Intravenous Parenteral Therapist, and NES Practitioner. She is a graduate from the University of Toronto and The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

Dr. Chan is a member of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), and College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists (CTCMPAO). She is also licensed to perform intravenous injections, vitamin injections and prescribing bio-identical hormones.
